8:30-12:30 Morning Session Topics:
Hardware Configuration
(Tools for capture, surround mixing, final output, tips and tricks to avoid common pitfalls in the NLE system.
Basics of DV
(resolution, frame rate, data stream, codecs, compression, importing analog footage, how DV works, storing tape, etc.)
Lighting Tricks
(Getting the most import part of a scene on to tape in the best way possible. Made possible by Photoflex)
Sound on location
(Getting sound into the camera with quality. Sound is the most important part of ANY video presentation, and we'll show quick and high quality ways of getting audio into your camera, saving loads of work in post production)
Capture/File Management
(keeping track of your video, audio, and other media for editing in Vegas) Using the New Bins features in Vegas 4
Editing Basics in Vegas 4.0 (transitions, filters, slo-mo, etc. How to apply, when to apply, speed tools to apply them)
   
Importing Stills into Vegas Video
