HDV:What You NEED to Know

This footage was shot in Singapore, it's 50i footage.
The two cameras were mounted together as well as Velcro would permit. I couldn't find a dual arm tripod head in the time I had available to shoot.

Neither camera is being seen at it's best, for comparative purposes, both cameras were set to auto. Both were shooting 50i. Setting the exposure on the HC1E to Spotlight and shutter to 50 made for a slightly better image than in auto-mode, and it goes without saying that the HVR-Z1U delivered a much better image in full manual mode. However, to establish a baseline, fully auto everything made the most sense in this particular situation. There is lots more available, but I thought this was particularly telling, as the cameras were both being pushed in that there was little light, shot around midnight.

For best comparisons, load up the footage with the timecode matched.
